About Vivek Tankha

Vivek Tankha, the ambitious Congress leader, is the son of Late Justice Raj Krishna Tankha. Born into a family of lawyers.

Vivek Tankha, the ambitious Congress leader, is the son of Late Justice Raj Krishna Tankha. Born into a family of lawyers, Mr. Tankha followed the tradition and completed his L.L.B. from the University of Delhi. He has spent well over a decade practicing law.

He has conquered the educational field as the ex. Chairman of Xavier’s Institute of Action and Management Studies, Jabalpur. He has been the Former Director of the University Institute of Management, University of Jabalpur, where he contributed enormously for the better future of students.

 As the member of the High-Powered Committee notified by Ministry of Commerce, Government of India, Mr. Tankha negotiated the bilateral/multilateral Legal Service co-operation framework/policy and procedure with U.S.A. and UK and facilitated the trans-national statutory trade compliance and dispute resolution.

He has contributed to and participated in various law workshops and conferences in India, SAARC countries, Europe, and the United States.

Leading by example, he has established the Justice Tankha Memorial Rotary Institute for Special Children in Central India. There is a chain of schools run by Justice Tankha Memorial Trust dedicated for the upliftment of mentally challenged and disabled children.

What i have done

Vivek Tankha was one of the youngest Advocate Generals of Madhya Pradesh. He was also the first lawyer from Madhya Pradesh to have been appointed the Additional Solicitor General of India. He has been a member of the International Law Association. He was also a founder member of the movement ‘COUNTRY FIRST’ with international educator, motivator and management guru, Shiv Khera. He has been the President of the Rotary Club of Jabalpur from 1996 – 1997.

He is the proud Torch Bearer of the Olympic Torch in the Olympic Torch Relay 2004 at New Delhi that was held on 10th June 2004 event. It was organized by the International Olympic Association, Indian Olympic association & Govt. of NCT Of Delhi.
